Default Feeler for my 2004 STI - Salvage title

Hey guys,
With all my want and desire to rebuild my STI, a sudden turn of events in my life means I "might" have to sell it. My wife was laid off yesterday, and we may need the money in a month or 2 depending on how things go.

I have seen STI's being parted out where the seller was looking for $2500 for the motor and $2500 for the tranny, so if I wanted to try and get say 7k for the complete car do you think that is feasible?

I wanted to check with you guys before I go anywhere near nabisco or the other sites.

I truly believe the car can be fixed and driven for many years to come, the damage really is minimal. 102k on the odometer.

sorry to hear man! I've seen it and it can definately be fixed. basically it needs the front core/hood/fender/ and radiator from the looks. A complete front end can be picked up on Ebay for 1500. definately worth it!

yeah, as B-fat knows I do not really want to sell it, nut what I am looking for here is how much do you think I can reasonably ask for it if I do have to end up selling it.

how far down to bare bones did you part it out? I am afraid if I decided to go that route I would end up with a frame on blocks and have to pay someone to haul it away. Like did you sell all the body panels off it, doors, dash etc?

So what all is the damage? I kind of did what sounds like the same to my car. Had to replace the core support, get the frame pulled 3 inches, new hood, new fender, and fix up the bumper and a new head light. I got away with doing it just under 2 grand. So if I for sure had the money to drop 7g I would do it. I for sure would want that tranny. If you start parting please let me know I am very interested in the cluster and the seats.

For now I am holding the car until my wifes work situation is cleared up, I will only sell it if we really need the money. I will update as things change.
